About Us

Welcome to Our Community Hub

Thank you for visiting. My name is Ashton Potter, and Altadena will always be a part of who I am. I grew up in Altadena and spent the first 33 years of my life there, attending Altadena Elementary, Marshall Fundamental, Elliott Middle School, and graduating from Blair High School in 1997. Even though I’ve since moved, Altadena remains close to my heart. Both of my brothers still live in Altadena, and I often spend my spare time hiking and mountain biking the beautiful trails in the Altadena mountains.

This site was born out of love for my family and a deep desire to help the people of Altadena who are in need.

A Turning Point: The Eaton Fire

On January 7, 2025, everything changed. My older brother called to tell me about a fire near his house. At first, I thought it was one of the many fires our mountains have faced. But by the next morning, it was clear this fire—what we now know as the Eaton Fire—was different. It devastated Altadena and sent shockwaves through the community.

Standing with my brothers that day, watching the mountains I’d grown up admiring engulfed in flames, I realized how overwhelming a disaster like this can be. For those directly impacted, the road to recovery can feel isolating and confusing. That’s why I created this platform: to help my family and the people of Altadena find the help and support they need.
